Podiatrist Sarah O'Connell visited Tanzania in her final year of study to bring her skills and knowledge to help communities in the East African country.
Sarah O’Connell is the latest Podiatrist to join the Firefly team. She’s a graduate of National University of Ireland, Galway [NUIG] where, as part of her undergraduate studies, she spent time in Tanzania offering Podiatry care. Sarah traveled with a group of undergraduates from NUIG’s school of Podiatry to provide mobile foot clinics and to support the local health care infrastructure to provide basic foot care and foot health education.

Sarah is a native of County Galway and heads up Firefly’s Galway clinic and also works in our Sligo clinic. She has experience in treating both public and private patients with a wide variety of podiatric issues. Sarah specialises in biomechanics and orthotic therapy with a particular interest in sports injuries rehabilitation.
